Nature’s reclamation begins on the sea floor as weathered hulks of ships gone down metamorphosize into otherworldly monuments of past lives.

I designed the metal as purple pvc to mimic the way water distorts and discolors items through optical interference.

Items that might not look colored suddenly are under the waves.

These ruined hulls of ships lie frozen in time, but the ocean, constantly in motion moves them forward, metamorphosing them, reclaiming them.

Barnacles, carried by ocean currents, lay claim to these structures and transform them into monuments under the sea. These structures, abandoned by man, are reclaimed by the ocean and are transformed into a new beauty.
